How to load your documents using our Document Loading System (DLS):

Note: You are not required to upload documents yourself.  You can choose to  fax, Email or mail your documents and have us upload them for you.

Here the steps:

First, you must have the documents saved in your computer as .gif or .jpg.  If you have no saved documents yet, then please scan and save them in a .gif or .jpg formats. If you don't have a scanner and want your documents on a CD then you can use a service such as Kinkos© or OfficeMax© and ask them to scan and save your documents on a CD in any of the two above formats.

If you have multiple pages for one document you must name and save each document separately and upload them in order. For example, a three page dean's letter must be saved as three separate pages, numbering each page as "deansletter1, deansletter2, deansletter3". Avoid using illegal characters in file names. For example, in Dean's letter, remove the apostrophe from file name, otherwise it won't upload.

Make sure that your documents are rotated properly and not to load documents that are horizontally oriented. The way you load it is the same way you view it.

Save your documents in one common place before you upload them, unless you have them all in a CD then you will load it to our system directly form the CD. If the documents are scattered all over your computer, we recommend you to create a folder on your desktop and call it "residency Documents". Drag all the files into this folder for easy access.

Now this is the easiest part. After you have completed all four steps above, login to your account and create new portfolio. Start loading the documents by clicking on the "browse" button. Select the file that corresponds and then click "upload", wait few seconds then you can click on the 'View" button to preview that document.

If you are creating separate portfolios for different specialties, you can load unique documents separately as well. For example, you may want to have different personal statement for each specialty,  that is possible with our system.

Remember that it is very important to have the Universal Application Forum (UAF) completed as soon as possible. Without UAF you will not be able to activate your portfolios.
